Welcome!  "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder"; and so is art appreciation.  My paintings reflect my visual and emotional experiences, whether I'm traveling across the ocean or simply crossing my neighborhood streets.  I carry my heart in my art, and my art in my heart.

It is a pleasure to share my paintings with you (see gallery below).  I hope you will enjoy viewing them as much as I have creating them.

I have recently become an author.  The book, A Life Reclaimed, published in September 2009, is about my niece, Sheila, a quadruple amputee.  What happened to her in 2003 was a tragedy but what she has accomplished since then is an inspiring story of hope, courage, and determination.  Read about it in my publisher's website at http://www.booklocker.com/books/4311.html or in my booksite at http://cynthiaangeles.com/.

Some of my paintings had been on view at Mark and Orlando's Restaurant since it opened in June 2005.  It was a popular venue for both fine and casual dining in the Dupont Circle area.  

Sadly, Mark and Orlando's closed its doors on May 1, 2009.  We hope that it will just be a temporary rest, and that it will grace the Washington DC food scene once more in the near future.
